My philosophy is simple: clients come first and I measure success by their satisfaction. My fulfillment comes from making a positive difference in my clients’ lives.

Buyers and sellers need a Trusted Resource who can help guide them through today’s complex world of real estate. Most of my clients come to me by referral from people who know me, trust me, and respect my integrity. I know that buying or selling a home can be a life-changing experience. Consequently, my focus is on keeping my clients fully informed by offering information and advice, both pros and cons, enabling them to explore all their options and make the decisions that are right for them. As a seasoned real estate professional, I am committed to providing each and every client with comprehensive, exceptional, and personalized service.

I happily serve people of all ages but I have a special understanding, appreciation, and expertise in helping those of us who are 50 years +. I bring my training as a Senior Real Estate Specialist plus my counseling background and sensitivity to support clients in meeting their real estate needs during these transitional years. Personally, I have taken care of older relatives going through various living situations as their needs changed, while still supporting my own adult children and grandchildren. My life experience also includes losing my spouse and having to negotiate that tumultuous emotional, financial and legal landscape. Each client’s family circumstances may vary widely, but such major life transitions call for knowledge, flexibility and empathy in making wise real estate decisions for the future.

When working with Sellers, whether their goal is to expand, downsize or relocate, I ensure that their home is well priced, professionally presented and assertively marketed. In negotiating the best terms and highest possible price for their home, I enable their successful move to the next chapter of life. When I represent Buyers, I take the time to listen and get to know them, familiarizing myself with their lifestyle, so that their new home truly meets their needs and desires.

As a realtor, I have worked with many investor clients doing 1031 exchanges and know the importance of planning, timing and tax ramifications for ultimate financial advantage.

~My love for Sonoma County, plus my extensive knowledge of the area and the special requirements of country living are benefits I bring to my clients. Having bought, built, remodeled and landscaped numerous beautiful homes, both as residences and investments, I possess a wealth of experience and information.

Personal Background

Born and raised in Palo Alto, I moved to Sonoma County in 1978; the train still ran down the middle of Sebastopol’s Main Street when I chose this beautiful county as the place where I wanted to raise my family. Through the years I’ve been involved in various school, music, sports and community activities. I have two married children and three delightful granddaughters. Some of the things I currently enjoy: hiking along the coast and in my neighborhood Foothill Regional Park; dancing West Coast Swing, Nightclub Two-Step, Zydeco and free dancing at the many outdoor Summer concerts; wilderness vision quests; river kayaking on the Sonoma/Mendocino coastline; reading memoirs and historical fiction; and being a playful grandmother.

Education and Professional Background

  • BA in Anthropology, Stanford University
  • MA in Counseling, Sonoma State University
  • Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist
  • Certificate, Business School Santa Rosa Junior College

I’ve had a long history in service professions, and I see real estate as being all about service. My background includes being director of a community health clinic in Palo Alto, business manager for an educational non-profit in Menlo Park and development director for a private school in Sonoma County. I have served on the Board of Directors for Bread for the Journey, which supports local community projects through seed grants, and I have helped fundraise for local Habitat for Humanity. I was also a licensed marriage and family therapist in Sonoma County for ten years as well as a hospice and hospital volunteer.
